Rock Shelter has more than 50 years of experience in the Tristate area with concrete construction, concrete driveway, pouring concrete, stamping and staining concrete, and concrete repair. We are fully bonded and insured. Rock Shelter serves Westchester and Fairfield Counties, primarily, and also operates in New York City, Northern New Jersey and Long Island.
Concrete can be a very complex material to work with – the ability to control the finer properties of concrete has increased sharply in recent years, especially given advances in chemical and mineral admixtures. For instance, stained concrete has only recently been adopted as a high-end indoor/outdoor finishing material for benches and countertops. Although concrete has been a staple of the construction trades for centuries, new technologies in the industry allow us to test and control moisture levels at every stage of the process while advancements in cutting, shaping and finishing tools continue to improve the quality and longevity of the final product.
Preparation of the material and the site requires a high level of expertise. Casting and molding advances have improved the structural properties of concrete as well as decorative options. Rock Shelter is up-to-date with the most current concrete construction, preparation and finishing methods.
Pouring a concrete driveway is one thing but pouring a beautifully finished concrete driveway with high-end curbing and aprons is something else entirely. That is the difference that Rock Shelter brings to a project. We also offer beautiful, hand crafted gates and fencing to complement a perfectly level paved concrete driveway. Rock Shelter driveways stay durable and puddle free.
Rock Shelter can provide poured concrete services in most applications including architectural structures, foundations, brick and block walls, pavement, pools, pipes and footings.

Stamped Concrete is commonly patterned or textured to look like brick, slate, stone, tile or wood for patios, driveways, walkways, pool decks and even inside for flooring and countertops. Stamping can also include the addition of an original design. To achieve the desired look, we apply a base color, accent color and a sealant/finish. Stamped and stained concrete not only maintains the appearance of more expensive materials but often lasts longer as well.
Whether repairing a crack, patch, or surface area, Rock Shelter is happy to help. Advances in concrete cutting and drilling technologies make concrete repair much less invasive – concrete repair is now quicker and cleaner.
